Identifying signs of burnout
Description
With around 15% of employees affected by burnout in 2015 (according to the "Quality of Work" study by the Luxembourg Chamber of Employees), professional exhaustion is increasing day by day. Lurking like a fire smouldering before it fully ignites, burnout often causes more damage than initially perceived, both in scope and severity. However, this insidious process develops gradually and can be countered if identified early, particularly through the recognition of the three major symptom categories.
he objective of this training is to raise awareness of the risk of burnout, whether for a colleague, an employee, or oneself. It also aims to develop skills in prevention and support.
Objectives
- Understand and demystify the burnout process
- Become aware of the different stages of occupational exhaustion
- Identify at-risk profiles within one's team and peers
- Recognize warning signs of burnout by distinguishing it from stress or depression
- Implement short, medium, and long-term actions, at both individual and collective levels, to anticipate uncontrollable situations
- Build a strong network of professional contacts to refer to
- Identify one's own level of emotional and physical involvement at work
- Avoid the trap of the savior or the apprentice sorcerer
- Act as an example of self-respect
