Description
The annual evaluation process is a key moment in the professional life of every team member, as well as that of their line manager. The role of the manager is crucial because the way they approach this dialogue with their team members will have a significant impact on their engagement at work and on the acceptance and achievement of their objectives. Therefore, the team manager must be properly equipped both technically and relationally.
The objective of this training is to provide team managers and evaluators with a secure framework and easily applicable tools to help them prepare for conducting annual reviews with confidence and efficiency.
Objectives
- Understand the operational, strategic, and relational stakes of the annual review
- Gather all necessary information for the evaluation process by referring to previously defined objectives, factual performance indicators, and employees' perception of the quality of their work
- Identify and avoid pitfalls of performance reviews
- Define and gain acceptance for SMART objectives with the employees they supervise
- Provide constructive feedback that fosters the development of technical and behavioural skills in their employees
- Handle delicate, complex, or conflictual situations with serenity, self-control, and respect
- Become aware of and optimize their communication style in individual interviews
