Communicating assertively
Description
Assertive communication isn't innate but can be learned through experience. This training aims to help participants express themselves and listen to their counterpart's opinions with a win-win relationship objective. It combines theoretical approaches with practical exercises.
Objectives
- Recognize non-assertive communication styles (aggressiveness, passivity, manipulation)
- Identify one's privileged life position, which underlies these four communication styles
- Identify the foundational beliefs of these positions and undergo individual reprogramming to neutralize and transform them into resources
- Become aware of one's rights and boundaries and grant oneself permission to express oneself
- Apply the basics of genuine assertive communication, respectful of oneself and one's interlocutors
- Identify the emotions at play in any interpersonal relationship and understand how they function
- Spot and defuse relational power games
- Improve communication in initially difficult or conflictual exchanges
